A magazine is a periodical publication containing a variety of articles, generally financed by advertising and/or purchase by readers.
Magazines are typically published weekly, biweekly, monthly, bimonthly or quarterly, with a date on the cover that is in advance of the date it is actually published. They are often printed in color on coated paper, and are bound with a soft cover.
Magazines fall into two broad categories: consumer magazines and business magazines. In practice, magazines are a subset of serials, periodicals and journals, distinct from those periodicals produced by scientific, artistic, academic or special interest publishers which are subscription-only, more expensive, narrowly limited in circulation, and often have little or no advertising.

Ok so we have HO, O, and G , not to mention a lot of Thomas/Brio, so what does he want for christmas - N scale Amtrak - with sidings and extra track of course!Pick a scale we already have dang it!

Does anyone know of or take part in a train presentation to Cub scout packs? I am a leader of my local scout pack and want to invite my local club, etc to a meeting. I am worried that the parents will then hate me for introducing the "addiction" to the pack. Anyone part of a club in t he Newtown, CT. area that would like to come visit? t-meggs
Thomas the Tank Engine

Has anyone yet tried to model the imaginary railroad system for Sodor Island using HO scale trains. My son (3 yo) is fanatical about Thomas the tank engine, and as family activity I'm looking into making a layout for us both to operate using the basics of the island.

I know you all are into model trains, but I was hoping somebody could answer my Thomas toy train question. I want to get my budding train enthusiest (he's just turning 3) the die cast Thomas the Tank Engine trains for his birthday. Do the "Trackmaster" sets and "Take Along" sets work interchangeably or are they seperate sets entirely?Thank you in advance for any assistance you might be able to provide!

This is the kids and teens page so this topic seems right. I have a myspace and if anyone here does my name is Kade Conner from Memphis, TN for me i talk trains with about half the friends i have on myspace and they have train related groups and im the moderator of one group called fans of the Burlington Northern and BNSF.
